The reporter’s words
Homeless man in tent. The man has been freedom ‘camping’ along Port Hills Road for the last couple of months. There are no toilet facilities anywhere near his location. He was at this location last year for a number of months, then left all his rubbish and tent for presumably the council to clean up. I’m concerned about his welfare given the circumstances. A flimsy non waterproof tent next to a busy industrial zone road with no toileting facilities is grim. He could die and nobody would know.
