Road Signage
Reported Wednesday, 17 June 2026 at 9:51 am, 12R Blakes Road, Belfast, Christchurch 8051, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
This has been frustrating me since installed. The motorway T2 LED signage is ambiguous, confusing and contradicts its intent and would be difficult to enforce. Many I have spoken to are also confused at its exact meaning and clearly nobody understands in practice, this includes people unfamiliar with the corridor and signage when it's turned on. Much clearer wording would be "T2 LANE (6–9 AM MON–FRI) Right Lane: T2 vehicles only (2+ occupants, buses) Left Lane: All other traffic
