General Request
Reported Wednesday, 17 June 2026 at 3:52 pm, Moorhouse Ave near Madras St, Canterbury Region 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
To the Councils credit you have planted 6 trees in the wide central median strip outside Ara on Moorehouse Avenue near the Madras Street intersection, however, rather than planting other ground cover plants or low shrubs you have surrounded the new trees with concrete. You declared a Climate and Ecological Emergency in 2019, yet you do this in 2026? Remove the concrete and plant the entirety of the central median strip with plants, like you have in Antugua Street between Moorehouse and Tuam St
