Roading/Streets
Reported Monday, 14 October 2019 at 6:13 pm, 299, Cashmere Road, Westmorland, 8025, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
The road is showing signs of failure and a small scale embankment subsidence indicates by the cracking in the road. I suggest this is due A. The road having an unrestrained edge B. Their being no surface water management in this location These factors are resulting in a periodically wet and subsequently weakened embankment. I suggest a curb and channel is installed along this stretch of road to manage the ongoing saturation of the embankment following by a fixing of the road surface. The surface water from the road currently drains into my property adjacent.
