Road Signage
Reported Thursday, 25 June 2026 at 9:39 am, 2 Purau Avenue, Diamond Harbour 8972, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Someone is illegally and frequently passing a stopped school bus on Purau Avenue close to where Waipapa Avenue turns off to go up the hill. There is not 100m clear view. I don't think they are passing the school bus at less than 20km/h (which is the legal requirement), but even if they are that would mean that they would be on the wrong side of the road for longer. They put the children, driver and person coming the other way at risk. It may help to put yellow center lines on this corner.
