The reporter’s words
This is an unprotected pedestrian crossing used by children getting to school. I have noticed that the kowhai tree restricts vision for oncoming cars heading towards Richmond Ave to children using the crossing. Another issue for vision is cars parking up against the crossing which limits children's view to crossing the road. I would love to see the tree pruned and some yellow lines covering the pedestrian crossing to make it safer for children to cross here on the way to school.
