Roads - General
Reported Saturday, 27 June 2026 at 11:10 am, 21 Nayland Street, Sumner, Christchurch 8081, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Appears to be totally unnecessary traffic management in place. Previously the north side of Nayland St was closed for a manhole replacement, this can be seen where the asphalt has been removed. Now the south lane is close, for apparently no reason. This is impeeding the free flow of traffic, and the cost of unnecesaary traffic management is a waste of ratepayer money. It also damages the reputation of the contractor.
