Roads - General
Reported Monday, 20 July 2026 at 3:28 pm, 1 Monsaraz Blvd, Canterbury, Christchurch 8025, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Hello, the fire hydrant pictured appears to be too low set in the road and as Monsaraz Blvd becoming very busy each time a large vehicle hits it, it creates a bang which actually shakes my house next to it. Having lived through the earthquakes it isn’t a great experience to be reliving. This happens especially with buses as the route 60 passes by regularly. This will no doubt eventually cause cracks in the Gib as well. Can it pls be fixed before The Acres opens up next month with more traffic
