Traffic Signals

Reported Monday, 20 July 2026 at 3:48 pm, 277 Cranford St, Canterbury, Christchurch 8052, New Zealand.

The reporter’s words

The pedestrian lights do not stay on. (Intersection of Cranford St and McFaddens). You press the button, stand on the yellow dots and after about 10 seconds, the light turns off. This can sometimes happen several times in a row before the light works and successfully turns the traffic light red to stop cars. This has happened to me while waiting on both sides of Cranford Street.
