Trees - General
Reported Tuesday, 21 July 2026 at 10:09 am, 11–17 Duncan St, Canterbury, Christchurch 8081, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
I live at 20 Clark Street, Sumner and we have 3 large Ngaio trees just outside our back fence in St Leonard’s Park. They’re wonderfully old trees and we don’t want to lose them but they’re tall and occasionally branches break and fall. I’m worried about damage to property, under-planting, possibly injury to people. Can we arrange to have them pruned down for safety?
