Water General
Reported Wednesday, 22 July 2026 at 11:32 am, Canterbury, Christchurch 8023, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Looking to upgrade the artificial cricket pitch but in doing that so it can be used safely we would need the 2 SW drains burried. The one that is north of the cricket pitch would be roughly where 1st slip would stand and is in a dangerous position. The one to the south is only 45m from centre of pitch so would be well inside the boundary for fielding and would pose a danger to a fielder if they landed on it fielding. Is it possible to have these burried under turf as per the one on rugby field.
