Playground Equipment
Reported Friday, 24 July 2026 at 4:31 pm, Canterbury, Christchurch 8023, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Risingholme playground. Slide aprox 1.7m high. Witnessed a young child fall from the top of the slide, whilst tolling onto tummy, in a potential catastrophic life changing incident, due to the desgin of a small/ narrow platform and no railing. The platform in its current state will injure an innocent child, that could be detrimental to their development. If a child can access a ladder they should be protected from falls from a height. Please note, I’m happy to discuss this further.
