Roading/Streets
Reported Sunday, 3 November 2019 at 4:13 pm, Linden Grove Avenue, Middleton, 8024, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
Can you please explain why one side of the asphalt intersection has been replaced with chip seal and the rest has been left? This is no standard practice in chch or anywhere else in NZ. This is causing a lot of bleeding of the bitumen and it is an unsafe practice. Also asphalt is a superior product so why has this been replaced with a product such as chipseal? The existing asphalt was in fine condition, and as in the css when surfacing the pavement type is to be replaced like for like. Can this please be redone in asphalt? I don’t pay high rates in this area for sub par work.
