The reporter’s words
Young hood rats from the neighbourhood smashed beer bottles on the rocks in the Wairarapa Stream bed next to the disc golf course. They also pulled out the new plantings under the trees alongside the stream and ran off with plants which they potentially dumped further along. Left other plants exposed. I temporarily replanted a couple of them but others were left.
