Hazard, vehicle
Reported Friday, 7 August 2026 at 8:07 pm, 10B Matai Street East, Fendalton, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Every afternoon outside girls high from around 2 20 to 3 00 there are over a dozen cars illegally parked. On dashed yellows. Blocking the bike crossing. Blocking footpaths. Driverless in the 3 minute area etc etc. I've spoken to the school principal and he wants it fixed too but feels powerless. as well as school kids in danger by dangerous parking, it's also a nightmare for cyclists trying to use the bike lane. Any action would be appreciated. Thanks.
