Wastewater/Stormwater
Reported Wednesday, 13 November 2019 at 9:21 pm, 49, Fovant Street, Russley, 8042, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
Ammonia put in shampoo bottles with holes in them to let the ammonia escape. Writing on the bottles say that this has been done to stop dogs from doing wee on the Council grass. When I took the photo (from a distance, not touching the bottle), my eyes started smarting and streaming tears as the ammonia got in my eyes. Questions that this raises: 1)This is Council grass, public space not private property that this is on, have they asked for permission from the Council? 2)Is this safe? It wasn’t for my eyes. What if children and animals pass by, how can that be safe? 3)It’s near the gutter, could it go into the storm water to our rivers? Ammonia kills water life.
