Reported Tuesday, 1 September 2026 at 2:30 pm, 21 St Martins Rd, Canterbury, Christchurch 8022, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Serious health and safety risk from this fence covering that flaps around in the wind. As the photo shows the fence material is blowing across the footpath. When I was walking past a gust of wind drove the material into me and it hit me on the left side of upper body. I’m a fit MTB athlete so the knock did not unbalance me. But a frail person would be injured by the flapping material. The fence must be secured before someone is seriously injured.
