Traffic Signals
Reported Friday, 4 September 2026 at 3:50 pm, 152 Somerfield Street, Somerfield, Christchurch 8024, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
This intersection is horrendous at 2.30 to 3.30 when school finishes. If by misfortune you are on Somerfield St at this time, it is impossible to get across into the 2 car slots for turning right into Colombo St. I sat in a huge queue there on Wednesday. Sensible people would not come this way, but I was unaware how bad it is. Can the council please look at improving this, so that those queued in Somerfeld can actually turn right. It became dangerous.
