The reporter’s words
Fire risk in our Port Hills. Length of grass in Westmorland Eastern Valley ( between Worsley Rd and Ravensdale Rise )... long grasses as seen in photo... concerns that this situation is again being ignored, as it was during last years extreme fire danger ... we had to beg to get something done about it...the council made a commitment to not let this area get this bad again, but that’s not happening. Our residents are very concerned that fire risk is going to be repeated, and the Council is not seemingly keeping its promise...see this weeks Council Newsline asking everyone to take control of their surroundings to prevent fire.!! Please would Council deal with it before it dries out!!!
