The reporter’s words

This is a complaint that relates to houses in this neighborhood that have been demolished by the council. They are at no 42 & 77 Ford Road. This once was a house proud neighborhood, and people took pride in their garden and verges. Now after the compulsory demolition of houses due to flooding hazards, we are now faced with vacant sections that remain unmown for weeks on end. The grass can almost be a metre high. Although recently mown, I will attach photos of what we usually see each day. Today another demolition started at 75 Ford Road. This means we will be now left with three vacant over grown sections that are left to grow wild. Ideally we would like neighbours that took pride in their neighborhood living there. Short of that, we would like these sections to be maintained more frequently and especially their verges which are also overgrown. We would also like to know what the long term plans are for these vacant sections. On a separate note, no 73 (I think is also a council property) once was well kept but is now totally overgrown. Also the councils responsibility is the verge outside 44 Ford Road, again not regularly maintained.
