Roads - General
Reported Saturday, 12 September 2026 at 12:08 pm, 7 Edmonds St, Canterbury, Christchurch 8062, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Te Aratai cycle connection issues - the speed hump sign is placed in the middle of the footpath, blocking pedestrian access and creating accessibility issues for mobility scooters, wheel chairs and prams - also it seems the contractor ran out of bitumen when constructing the speed hump, as it is the flattest I have ever seen and does not fulfill its intended purpose of keeping cyclists safe - given the historic significance of the street I would have expected a raised concrete block paving hump
