Poles and Signage - General
Reported Friday, 2 October 2026 at 9:11 am, 17 Hamilton Avenue, Ilam, Christchurch 8041, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Yet again, the real estate signs company continues to ignore the Council's written directive that advertising hoardings are not to be erected on public land, and the company should be given a final warning. The latest example is at 17 Hamilton Avenue, Chch 8041. This property is not a drive-in section but has ample street frontage of its own where the sign should be relicated to.
