Park - General Request
Reported Tuesday, 6 October 2026 at 2:04 pm, 31 Ascot Avenue, North New Brighton, Christchurch 8083, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
These light poles should never have been put in to start with, with a cutout at the bottom of them, it takes out a third of the metal. I came along and found one that kids have been rocking back and forth, it had degraded the metal and I just pushed it over with a light touch. All the other standing light poles need to be taken out because I could push them over myself or children could weaken them again with disastrous consequences. This is a health and safety issue that the council is ignoring
