Trees - General
Reported Saturday, 10 October 2026 at 12:19 pm, 3 David Palmer St, Canterbury, Christchurch 8083, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Vandalised trees. Treetech came to the site. No effort to restake, save the trees, or re plant. Just hacked the tree down. Tree tech say there are services below that impede growth. If that is the case why can you not plant something else. There are other things that could be there. Shrubs, bushes, plants with smaller root areas. If the council can not be bothered to plant the border, then remove the stump and level the ground where the 5 trees originally were. It is an obvious trip hazard.
