The reporter’s words

This property has no one living in it. The wheelie bins are left on the footpath all week and used by neighbours for their excess rubbish. I thought if a property was uninhabited that wheelie bins were removed. The long grass is a fire hazard and has not been cut for many months. The neighbourhood teenagers have been seen on the property. This is a major fire risk and the owners should be made to cut the grass down and maintain the property. The foot path on that side of Porthills Road is very narrow and the two properties on The town side of this abandoned property have litter and junk out in front of their garages. There is also a roadsign lying amongst the grass. The property extends from Porthills Road up the hill. This needs to be inspected urgently and the property owners made to deal with this major fire hazard
