Roads - General
Reported Saturday, 17 October 2026 at 5:29 pm, 34–44 Park Tce, Canterbury, Lyttelton 8082, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
I live in this area, it is really lovely to have a new playground. However this road is very busy and despite it being 40K a lot of people are driving considerably faster. This makes in challenging crossing the road with young children. I have noticed the speed pumps in the road down to the playground and am wondering why we could not have some around this corner area making it saver. I have added a photo of the speed bumps which seem simple to install. There also needs to be more 40 signs.
