Roading/Streets
Reported Monday, 13 January 2020 at 10:08 am, 11, William Dawson Crescent, Halswell, 8025, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
Street to narrow to allow traffic flow in both directions especially when cars are NOT parked on the berm most family’s here have more than one sometimes up to 3 vehicles and there gets to be a point there is no parking available so people are parking on the berm to help minimise the congestion on the street. The parking on the side closest to the suv doesn’t help because it’s length is short and narrow. I reckon if the grass next to that parking was taken out and angled parking was done there would be more parking and the residents in our neighbourhood wouldn’t be dipping into there wallets and being punished for having more than one vehicle and trying to keep the road clear
