Reported Saturday, 25 January 2020 at 11:53 am, 3, Broadleaf Lane, Heathcote Valley, 8081, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
Chain & hook to keep gate shut has been removed. Gate swings low and has always required lifting to insert hook through the loop on the post. Ongoing problem with hook inserted through chain link of fence (because of not lifting the gate to close it) which is not strong enough. Numerous walkers and mountain bikers using road. Requires clamp with loop for gate frame (wire rusts through, gets pulled off and requires constant fixing), extended chain attached to loop, and new hook.
