Roading/Streets
Reported Sunday, 26 January 2020 at 10:26 am, 15 Balmoral Lane, Redcliffs, Christchurch 8081, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
This area of the footpath in McCormacks Bay Rd is extremely dangerous. There is room for only one pedestrian to navigate and too narrow for triks and buggies. This footpath is used regularly by Redcliffs School children, and by vast numbers in the 4th term when they gather at the park for touch rugby with many other schools in the area every Thursday. On these days there is a huge increase in vehicular traffic. I have seen many children cross the road close to this blind bend. There will be even more foot traffic when Redcliffs School moves to the new site.
