Roading/Streets
Reported Monday, 3 February 2020 at 2:14 pm, 269 Sparks Road, Hoon Hay, Christchurch 8025, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
I use this intersection quite a lot but do not see the sense in having a right turn red arrow light when heading west on Sparks Rd, turning right (north) into Hendersons Rd. There is plenty of visibility of oncoming Sparks Rd traffic and there is no pedestrian or cycle crossing on Hendersons Rd, yet often during the day I'm sitting there on my own waiting for the arrow to clear. It may be different during rush hour, but during the day it seems unnecessary.
