Roading/Streets
Reported Friday, 21 February 2020 at 12:59 pm, 23, Sydney Street, Spreydon, 8024, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
When the leaking water main was fixed, shortly after the footpath was resurfaced, the reinstatement was done using a different type of asphalt than the type used for the footpath, which increases the risk of the pavement deteriorating and does not comply with the CCC Construction Standard Specification, Part 6 - Roads. There is currently a contractor replacing the sub-main on Sydney Street, CCC have an opportunity to remedy the pavement at a likely lower cost and disruption, as the contractor will be reinstating pavements very soon. So this is a roads issue but will likely be a water funded and managed project. I hope this helps!
