Questions, answered briefly

What does the search cover?

Search reads the site’s registers together: suburbs, streets, guides, the heritage register, old photographs, schools, parks and tracks, heritage walks, wards and boards, marae, places of worship, businesses, remembered names, bus routes, the papers, documents, council reports and posts on the wire, among others. Only groups with a match show up.

How do I find a specific address?

Type it as written: number, street, suburb in any order. The directory resolves the phrasing to the spot on record.

Where does each result link?

To the page that answers for it, a street to its street page, an address to its record, a place to its register entry.

Does search work without JavaScript?

Yes: results are rendered on the server and arrive readable; the page’s script only makes the asking faster.
