1849 in the archive

2 records carry this year, about level with on 1847, the nearest recorded year before it, the earliest dated 22 Aug 1849, the latest 28 Sept 1849. Everything links out to where the original sits. A date on a record is the record’s own fact, and a record count is the shelf’s coverage of a year, not a count of what happened in it.
