I want to start by thanking the nurses and reception staff. They were patient, kind and professional, and I really appreciated the way they treated me. Unfortunately, my experience with the doctor was completely different. I came in with my entire left foot badly swollen and very red/dark compared with my normal right foot. After waiting 2–3 hours, I expected at least a careful examination and some explanation. Instead, the doctor barely looked at my foot and seemed dismissive from the beginning. The staff were calm, kind, and actually listened to what we were saying instead of brushing us off. My parents arrived from Europe a couple of days ago for a month's trip, but the journey must've really knocked him around. Thank you to Nicole from Hato Hone St John, and to Ana and the rest of the team (sorry, I didn't catch all your names but you are very appreciated) from the 24 Hour Surgery for taking his condition seriously; yes, it can get busy and there is a waiting time, but even when it's manic, the team remains calm, patient and understanding.
