The reporter’s words

The photo shows a large self seeded pine tree on council land. It is located opposite the letter box 145 Taylors Mistake Road. The concern is that one day this tree will fall in a strong southerly wind. When it does it will fall onto Taylors Mistake Road with the potential of hurting someone, blocking the road until cleared, doing a lot of damage to the road bank and damaging plantings on the opposite side of the road. The action that the neighbours who live close would like is for the tree to be removed (chopped down) or at least reduced by about half of its current height. This tree will only continue to grow taller and will need action eventually- possibly a cheaper job the sooner it is done.
