The reporter’s words
I'm disappointed in the state of the central city, overflowing bins all around the bridge of remembrance, didymo (?) in the Sam Mahon sculpture in the botanic gardens. This is really not good enough, especially in the summer months when people want to spend time here, start making the centre of Christchurch a desirable place to be in. These are easily controllable issues and in a city that is already in such a state of dismay, makes me feel pretty upset the council doesn't take more pride in the city.
