Roading/Streets

Reported Wednesday, 8 July 2020 at 8:24 pm, 6 Ross Terrace, Lyttelton 8082, New Zealand.

The reporter’s words

The dashed yellow lines on Ross Terrace across from #6 Ross have not been reinstated following a roading repair last year to address some water/drainage works. As a result of the yellow lines not being there, several residents are continuing to park on this extremely narrow street section which is making it next to impossible to safely navigate the tight uphill turn. This is despite it being patently obvious that parking is not permitted here. Please, can the dashed yellow line be applied where they once were, and it would extremely helpful if a notice from the Council could be sent to #6 Ross, #2 Shackelton Terrace, and #4 Shaceklton Terrace stating that the road markings need to be respected and the rules adhered to becuase there is a habitual disregard for them by these residents and their guests. This illegal parking is especially problematic in this location, and repeated attempts to communicate this is not working.
