The reporter’s words

Due to the current speed hump layout it is unsafe for cyclists to use and poses serious risk to human life. The photo attached shows that on bin collection day the trucks completly block the cycle passage and significantly reduce the clear line of sight. Even the the truck driver was annoyed a nd fraustrated. This and other problems continue to exist and are a constance annoyance. The current lack of action to address these issues at a fundamental level is absolutely shocking and appaling. Enough is enough and this layout needs to be removed for the safety of all users. It shows active neglect of fundamental faults which were not caused by user or residents. Either put in a separated cycle way or remove the speed humps leaving them in place is not suitable nor acceptable. Designer and cycleway team need to held accountable for design failures like this. This is the only speed hump design this close to the cbd and the only route not separated it shows bias.
