Roading/Streets
Reported Friday, 5 February 2016 at 4:16 pm, 464, Papanui Road, Papanui, 8053, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
Please pass this on to Parking Enforcement with a view to sending a fine to the driver. I feel there is sufficient evidence for this and is not something that can be disputed. I said to the driver that they cannot park in the cycle lane, they said they were not going to shift their vehicle and instead went into the shop. The driver exhibited a complete disrespect for the law (which is also evident in the photo where they were 'giving the finger'). The cycle lane is clearly marked. You can also see that they were parked in the cycle lane long enough to impact another cyclist (fortunately other drivers were awake to this and gave the cyclist room. This occurred at 8:27am on Wednesday 3/2/16.
