Roading/Streets
Reported Sunday, 13 September 2020 at 7:34 am, 91, Main North Road, Papanui, Canterbury, 8052, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
The new traffic lights at Grassmere st - main north rd corner have excessive delays when turning out of grassmere st. I waited 4.5 minutes one day and they were still red. Drove through the red eventually. Needs a short delay. The right turn arrow on the Grassmere St lights has a very short right turn sequence and stays on when there is no one crossing. Needs fixing and another arrow on the pole on the countdown side. Turning left into Grassmere st is too tight. There is not enough room to the cars in the right turn lane. Need to widen the eastern side of Grassmere st to create room.
