The reporter’s words

Stormwater system from the entire building has been causing issues. There are internal downpipes that have been overflowing in the roof space and has caused damage. We have waterblasted several of these lines and undertaken a small amount of video inspection. The stormwater pipework under the footpath outside the Lock And Key store is one that our blaster became stuck a couple of days ago. We returned this morning and sucked out many of the stones...enough to release the trapped waterblaster; however video today shows still full of stones. Some of the outlets from the SW on Wyndham go to kerb outlets. Some for the building on Papanui Rd go to 9X5 boxes and then to pipe under the kerb. From the online drainage plans there appears to be no CCC buried SW outside the Wyndham St shops...it seems that it is likely that the pipe where I have marked as 500mm deep is in fact not connected to anything...but most likely should be discharging to the kerb. On the Dropbox link below is more footage. Can I suggest we have a discussion on site to go over findings? There is evidence of other cracks in SW pipework on Papanui Rd. I don’t think all of the issues affecting the building have yet been identified and more investigation is needed. Graham Boyd Charlton Hurrell Drainage.
