Roading/Streets
Reported Monday, 2 November 2020 at 1:39 pm, 2, Dawe Street, Mairehau, Canterbury, 8013, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Lorry pulled into parking bay (photo1) on Akaroa Street, corner 2 Dawe Street, at 0537 today, with yellow flashing lights that shone through edges of bedroom curtains (right hand window, photo 2), waking the occupant. There were then a series of loud metallic noises. The lorry later left, with no sign of what it may have been doing. This is far too early for such a happening right outside a residence. And why? No work was/is currently being carried out in the immediate neighbourhood. It isn't the first time lorries have disturbed us at such an hour.
