The reporter’s words
City care came up to the end of pages road lyttelton recently, to dig the road up and look for a water mains. They have not reinstated the road properly. Muddy holes have started to develop and with the recent rain over this weekend, it has made things much worse. This road provides access to residential properties and has now become more treacherous to use. The muddy sediment laden water is also washing down the street and into the stormwater infrastructure. Furthermore because the contractor didn’t repair the road properly mud is being tracked down Pages Road on vehicle tyres. This portion of the road was never sealed in the first place but these recent works by City Care have made the road condition considerably worse.
