Parks
Reported Tuesday, 15 December 2020 at 9:20 am, Avonhead, Canterbury, 8042, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
Cherry trees near the main entrance to Avonhead Park, and large Poplars on the West (Russley Rd side) of the park need suckers and branches at base of trunk rremoved. There are also Elderburries and cherry suckers coming up in many places, and a dead shrub, nearly dead poplar and large dead branches. The last time an arbourist worked at the west side of the park the one remaining live Kauri wS cut down as well as the dead one! It is such a beautiful park, but the care of it is seriously lacking, and money has been wasted on unsuitable trees.
