Roading/Streets
Reported Tuesday, 11 May 2021 at 7:39 pm, Gaol Steps, Lyttelton, Canterbury, 8082, New Zealand.
The reporter’s words
This fence is a hazard to the public. It is unstable and adds multiple trip hazards (note this is an unlit path used by many from early to late). I have called the fence company when seeing it having fallen for most its lengh. Im aware others have seen it part fallen. I have tripped on the feet. I know others see an accident waiting to happen. If this fence is intended to stop access to the wall it is ineffective. It is often open at joins. It is easy to open at the joins. As well as potential to cause a trip, someone who trips / scoots and falls onto the fence is likely to get worse injury. This fence introduces risk of significant injury to general public and is not fit for purpose.
