The reporter’s words

These photos are from our lovely new intersection at Bridlepath Rd and St Andrews Hill. It's a shame that the council have spend a lot of money on this intersection but can't seem to get their act together with the planting of suitable plants and maintaining them. It's the second time they have tried to plant scrubs down there and they get over taken by weeds because of lack of maintenance. When they weed the plants they don't pull them out by the roots but just cut them off at ground level. Although there is a tap near the intersection there was no thought put in to lay an irrigation system which would of stopped all the plants from dying. Where to from here??? Otherwise we will keep wasting rate payers money planting and replanting. It looks ugly compared to all the other lovely planting areas around this area. Regards Ali and Barry Mclauchlan
