Roading/Streets
Reported Friday, 16 September 2016 at 7:33 am, Christchurch, 8011, Canterbury.
The reporter’s words
I am very concerned at the blind spot for walkers / cyclists/ joggers created by the position of the control box as two lanes of fast moving traffic negotiate this crossing. I have seen a number of near misses. The pedestrian traffic can't see the vehicles and vice versa. It's really an accident waiting to happen. Yes there are lights but from my observations only roughly 50 % of pedestrians wait for the green light.
