This is no doubt the first of my usual perennial complaints regarding the constant failure of the council to cut the grass on the reserve land adjoining my property. Currently it is just an eyesore and an inconvenience - after a dry spell, it will become a fire hazard - as it does every year. The steps are also in need of major weed treatment and are rapidly disappearing into the jungle. I have cut back a section of the area myself twice already this season and it requires doing again. I am 75 years old and I find it increasingly hard to keep having to do it myself.
