The reporter’s words
I've watched numerous children (including my own) slip and fall in the water play area at Margaret Mahy. Even some adults complained of it being quite slippery while I was sitting there. It seems to be worse in the areas where it is a reddish brown colour on the cement, maybe a build up of some mineral or something. It should be water blasted asap for safety purposes or kids are going to get injured. Mine already has a pretty good bruise.
