The reporter’s words

Our road had its metal put down in a big rush one Friday afternoon between 4.30 & 5pm before clocking off the job. The surface has lots of variations at the edges…. Sometime gravel/tar going 1/3 of way into gutter. Sounds pedantic, I know… but due to the nature of our street with large deciduous trees, this uneven rough surface going into gutter gathers the leaves much more than before. The water doesn’t drain and in turn our households stormwater backs up too. The drainage Inspection cover has been left sealed over (first photo) which I’m not sure was supposed to happen as I know it usually gets checked regularly? I have to clear the drains regularly through autumn/winter , as do my neighbours… but this uneven surface is making it much harder. Can someone please come an review/inspect the job on resurfacing the street?
